I was listening to Simon Armitage the other day talking about roots. He pointed out that by staying in his home town he could be descibed as ploughing a rich furrow or conversely digging his own grave. For around 40 years I have been ploughing my nothern furrow, using a multi-image format which has become more and more immersed in the landscape of Lancashire as seen through the seasons.I seem to spend longer and longer on paintings these days so I hope you can find time to explore the detail because there is a good deal of it.The main examples of this are to be found in the SEASONS category focusing on winter, spring, summer and to close the year Christmas.I hope you find something to enjoy in them,if so I would love to hear.
